  • Reflective > Descriptive - be less descriptive (this is what happened) and more reflective (what did you think was interesting? what did you learn? what did you wish you did differently?)

  • Make use of your real estate (the page) - try to avoid having large areas of dead space

  • Colour and graphics are what make it a portfolio

  • Evidence and content

    • Try to avoid long paragraphs - include evidence followed by short summaries and links where needed

    • Most evidence should have some explanation/analysis (not just put on the page)

    • Leave out blog screenshots as we will be looking at those anyhow

  • Appendix

    • Link all blog posts in appendix

    • Link all comments to other people’s posts (screenshots of these are good as well)

  • Telling a story and showcasing progression/your journey

  • Remember to comment on other people’s blog posts

  • X-Factor - how to do it?

    • Making it look awesome

    • Reflection videos (1-2 min)

    • Educational resources - helping future students by making videos/tutorials (e.g. AWS deployment)
